LoRa Gateway LoRa Modbus RTU

The Aecl LoRa Gateway is able to wirelessly receive data from the maximum 32 units of LoRa air quality sensors or end devices via LoRa communication and send data to the PLC or computer by RS485 or RS232 interface. The LoRa frequency is adjustable from 862 to 932 MHz based on the regulation of different countries.

The data format of the LoRa Gateway is Modbus RTU protocol which makes the LoRa solutions easier to apply for system integrators. The Semtech SX1272 RF chip ensures a stable wireless data stream of the Gateway and makes the applications more flexible via wireless communication, in the meantime, it saves more cost of installation.

The LoRa Gateway is used together with Aecl LoRa air quality sensors as well as the RS485 to LoRa converter in creating the internet of things and accelerating adoption of the IoT network in a simple and economical way. Besides, transmitted data from AUS-405 is well-encrypted and in line with the AES128 Encryption Standard. It is perfect for applications including HVAC systems, building management systems, agricultural automation, and smart storage.

LoRa Modbus RTU Connection

LoRa transmission is ideal for long range transmission with small data packed less than 200 bytes. Especially for sensor’s data of which packet size usually 30~40bytes.
